Actief of Amsterdam

Originally named “Actief,” this classic Luxe Motorschip was built by A. & J. Jonkers in Amsterdam in 1925 at just under 25 m in length. She was lengthened to her present length of 29,93 m in 1959 at Kempers, Alphen aan den Rijn. When Balliol & Estelle purchased her from trade in 1984 they became just the third family to own her. Her name was changed to “Actief of Amsterdam” only to satisfy the UK Ships Registry requirement for a unique name.
