MilPat

The 'MilPat' is an old langoustine fisherman from Guilvinec. It is a rare example of the 'Malamok', a traditional and versatile fishing boat that was built in Pays Bigouden between 1930 and 1970.

The full name of the 'MilPat' is 'Michel-et-Patrick'. It was built in 1962 for fishing, mainly for the Irish Sea and southern Finistère. It had an oak hull, 2 derricks and a trawl net.

It was decommissioned in 1988 and sold to a diving club in 1990.

In 1994, the 'MilPat' was put back into use as a pleasure boat after a complete renovation.
