100 years of the Royal Sea Cadets Corps

You probably know that the Royal Belgian Sea Cadet Corps has a rich history. But this year is very special, because we are celebrating our centenary! We have been committed to youth for 100 years. Thanks to the passionate efforts of the Corps’ officers, our cadets have had an incredible time all these years with memories for life. We are very proud of our cadet corps and would like to share our enthusiasm and the dynamism of our corps with you during a festive celebration of this 100th anniversary.

The ceremony will take place on 22 May at the Seamen’s Memorial. Starts at 11:00 and ends at 12:30 with, exceptionally, the presence of the representative of His Majesty the King.

You can visit the cadet ships. The Liberation, MRB25 and Westhinder are located in the shadow of the Mercator, near the Jan Piersplein and are open to the general public during Ostend at Anchor.
