Alexi

This attractive little sailing boat was discovered in an old barn, and in a generally poor condition. Nonetheless, the previous owner, inspired by the design of traditional British sailing sloops, decided to have the boat fully restored. Further research has revealed that the boat had been built in 1960 in Ostend, and represents a part of the city’s maritme heritage.

The craft is now owned by, Alexi,  the granddaughter of Hubert Rubbens, the curator of ‘Ostend at Anchor.
