Gwyngala

The "Gwyngala" was built in 1976 by DJ Nunn in Cornwal (UK). It is a gaff cutter built to roam the ocean. It is built in wood (strip planking) and designed for self-builders and adventurers.

Originally she was designed without a motor because you lose more time on an adventure tinkering with the motor than you gain by using the motors during calm periods. Both the builder and the current owner sailed around the Atlantic with the "Gwyngala".

Due to her small cockpit she is very seaworthy and she is built so that you can restore it yourself along the way.

The current owner has owned the "Gwyngala" since 1991 and has deliberately converted her into a cutter rig without coils
