The 'Fe-Rie' was built in 1908 as a steam tugboat by van Vlaardingen in Gouda (NL). She was originally named 'Adriaantje' and sailed for the timber company De Graaf in Rotterdam, later serving with the towing company Volharding.
In 1950, she was converted into a motor tugboat and was actively involved in the Zuiderzeewerken. Later, she carried out extensive towing operations between Rotterdam, Friesland, and Maasbracht.
Since 1993, she has been part of the recreational fleet and is enjoying a peaceful retirement. The vessel has been in the same family for over 80 years.
