Jozef De Waye

The 'Jozef De Waye' is the last Watson type lifeboat built. This was in in 1957 at Samuel White's yard in Cowes. He served under the name 'Howard Marryat' in Fishguard (Wales) until 1981 then in Moelfre and Barrow as a reserve.

The shovel saved 88 lives.

It was purchased by the current owner in 1989 and is largely in its original condition, making it a true heritage property. After purchase, it was transferred from Milford Haven to Blankenberge in 2017, where it has been since then.
